Our "Press Release" for the candy drop...

It is that time of year again when kids and the young at heart are invited to join the Trenton Flyers Association for their special annual Halloween treat.  This Saturday Oct. 30th at the Edgefield County Airport, Yonce Field in Trenton planes will be on display and candy will drop from the sky at 12:00 noon for the children.  Rain or shine the candy will flow.
Trenton Flyers is a community service group of aviation enthusiasts who are based primarily in Trenton.  Their mission is to promote, without profit, interest in safe flight for the improvement and growth of their sport. The Trenton Flyers use every opportunity to introduce and educate the public about aviation.  The Flyers also provide an opportunity for children to learn about careers in aviation.
July 19, 1945, Sara Yonce made this opportunity available to the citizens of Edgefield County.  Ms. Yonce donated the land to be used as an airport. This Airport was dedicated in memory of her father Andrew Yonce.  The citizens of Trenton and Edgefield County have been the beneficiaries of her generous donation.
The Trenton Flyers have participated in and sponsored many community events. They welcome new members and opportunities to promote safe flying.  Visit their website: to learn more about the Airport and the Trenton Flyers.
Come join us on Saturday, Oct. 30th for a special Halloween treat from the Trenton Flyers.
